A relatively short but quick jaunt through Buckhead. Depending on the group, this ride can either feel like an urban crit or an active recovery ride. The heart of the ride comes in the climb up Northland, followed by a fast finish on Mt. Paran. Consider it a mid-week digestif.

Key Points

MILE 9.8

Golf Course

A circuitous...circuit?....through the Brookhaven Golf Course community. Watch out for pedestrians, traffic and "leisure"cyclists. Also, the pace often jacks up here so keep those gaps closed.

MILE 16.2

Col de Northland

This 1.4 mile, 3.1% gradient climb usually shatters the field. But be careful about attacking too soon. This long, slow grind can wear down even the strongest engines. Field regroups at the light onto Glenridge.

MILE 18.5

Mt. Paran Homestretch

A 4.5 mile stretch that whizzes by some of the stateliest residences in the 404. But this is no architecture tour. Speeds on this stretch hit into the high 20s/low 30s. Mind the stop signs and rough roads in some sections.
